To the south of the city center of Olbia, heading towards San Teodoro, you will first find Murta Maria and then Porto San Paolo.
Porto San Paolo, located by the sea, has a well-equipped marina. The territory of Loiri Porto San Paolo features a varied topography with beautiful countryside, often hilly, rich in vegetation, adorned with vast vineyards, and offering picturesque views that highlight the beauty of the sea. There are numerous valleys that wind their way towards the marine ecosystem, and following them is not difficult, but rather enjoyable. Once you reach the coast, your gaze will be magnetically drawn to the imposing scenic beauty of the mountain in the middle of the sea: Tavolara. The beaches, all facing the island, consist of clear sandy shores caressed by crystal-clear water that breaks into a thousand greenish-blue reflections.
The village presents itself to visitors as a small tourist center equipped with all the necessary amenities for hospitality: local shops, restaurants, pizzerias, supermarkets, tobacco shops, and a complex of various houses and apartments mostly inhabited during the summer season. In fact, we can assert that in the last ten years, Murta Maria has experienced an increase in terms of tourism development, leading to the construction of various facilities and services, such as apartments and residences.
Just a few meters from the settlement lies a splendid beach called Marina Maria, stretching for approximately two kilometers: a strip of pure white sand, at times fine and coarse, dotted with thousands of seashell skeletons of various shapes and sizes.
